Hey y’all! As promised, I wanted to share a quick update and final report on my Whole 15 experiment. Before I share the results, as someone who generally lives a “healthy” lifestyle, this experience was a game changer for me. I realized soon after starting that my will power and discipline when it comes to food was pretty much nonexistent. At 34, my metabolism ain’t what it used to be. I need to be more conscious of what I’m putting in my body. This includes the extent of my cheat days. Mostly sugar and alcohol (which is basically sugar).
So, drumroll…in 15 days I lost 6 pounds and 4.5 inches from my waist. Even better than that, I saw the fastest noticeable progress in muscle definition in my abs and arms. You must know I worked out 8 of the 15 days: 8 days of my 90-minute dance fitness class (I’m lucky to live in the homebase city), 6 days of the ab challenge (pic below), and 5 days of 10lb weight lifts.
I treated myself with a day at the pool, “glamour” swimsuit pictures, and lots of cheese and alcohol. I’ve decided to follow the Whole 30 plan for half of each month so you can look forward to more great recipes on the blog. Please share your favorites!
