Hey y’all! I been living. I am back from my travels happy, rested, and 10lbs heavier. I have no regrets–I ate and drank everything my heart desired. But now, it’s time to get back to my normal healthy eating with a few cheats here and there. Usually I juice to detox, but I need more extreme measures to kick this weight and jumpstart my fitness so I’m trying the Whole 30 plan for 15 days. Follow me as I document my experience.
First up for breakfast are the yummiest Sausage & Egg Muffins. These are my breakfast for the first 4 days. It’s day one and I realize two things: (1) everything has sugar in it and (2) eating healthy is expensive. I eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies so I kinda already knew the later, but still. It’s unfortunate that only a certain income affords you healthy food. One the first, I couldn’t find any pork sausage without sugar. So technically, I’m already cheating. But I’m comforted by the fact that, accordingly to the label, there’s less than 2% of sugar and other ingredients I probably shouldn’t be eating. I’m alright to spend a little extra cash for this plan, but I’m not going to 4 different stores to make it happen.
