Before you judge, know that I love baked goods. While I have met sweets I don’t like, there aren’t many. So if I can vouch for brownies made with beans, you gotta trust that they are good. Actually, these brownies are better than good. Unless you tell folks that they are made with beans, they will never know. However, I do suggest you tell them because beans do funny things to some people’s bodies. A warning might be nice. There are a couple really good recipes, but my favorite are the Amazing Flourless Brownies from Gina over at Skinnytaste.
The best part about these brownies is that they are made in the blender. I love any recipe that does not require messing up a lot of dishes.I make a couple adjustments to the recipe:
- since the type of oil is unspecified, I use coconut (melted)
- for sugar, I have used Splenda sugar blend, honey, agave & raw sugar
- I skip the parchment paper
- I use white chips (about 3/4 cup)
