When it comes to macaroni and cheese, I am a self-proclaimed expert. It is practically all I ate during my formative years. These days, it is a special holiday dinner cheat and I am married to my traditional, southern baked mac and cheese. I stumbled upon this Five Cheese 15 Minutes Stovetop Mac & Cheese recipe review from Cooking in Stilettos. For the most part, I followed the recipe. However, I did use half & half instead of heavy cream and I always use light sour cream because I can’t tell the difference (but my waist can). I also didn’t try the added nutmeg. Look at all that yummy, cheesy goodness.
I’ll admit I was definitely skeptical about my traditional, southern family liking this new spin on mac. Fortunately, they absolutely loved it. And since I spent over $20 on cheese, I will be making it again for my NYE feast.
